Every year, Members of Congress are allowed to display one piece of artwork by a high school student from their district in the U.S. Capitol for one year.  Congressman Adam Smith holds an annual judged art competition each year to select which art from the 9th Congressional District receives this honor.  For more information, please visit the art competition's website

This year the 9th District Congressional Art Exhibition and Reception will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10am at the NewHolly Gathering Hall in Seattle.  The winner of the competition will be named at the event, and will win prizes including two donated round-trip airline tickets and be invited to attend the national reception ceremony on June 26, 2013 in Washington, DC.  There will also be prizes for the second and third place winners.
