The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute is currently accepting applications for its Angels in Adoption™ program that provides a way for Members of Congress to honor an individual, couple or organization from their state or district that has made a difference in the lives of children in need of a family to call their own. Past honorees include foster parents, adoptive parents, social workers, adoption advocates, judges, or foster care and adoption organizations. Since 1999, Members of Congress have honored over 1800 individuals, families and organizations through CCAI’s Angels in Adoption™.

Every fall, Angels come from all over the country to visit the nation’s capital and their Member of Congress, learn about their advocacy capabilities, and share their experiences with adoption. The program culminates with a gala on September 12 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center where CCAI honors those who have raised awareness about foster care and adoption on a national or global level.

The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to raising awareness about the millions of children around the world in need of permanent, safe, and loving homes and to eliminating the barriers that hinder these children from realizing their basic right of a family.
