Rep. Smith to Host Town Hall in Bellevue

Ninth District Congressman Adam Smith will host a Town Hall on at Newport High School.  Congressman Smith is looking forward to meeting with constituents and hearing their concerns.

What: Rep. Smith is hosting a Town Hall event where constituents can meet the Congressman and voice concerns on the budget, immigration, education, the economy, and more

When: Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

U.S. Service Academy Night

If you are a high school or middle school student that resides in Washington State’s 9th Congressional District and are interested in learning how to obtain a Congressional Nomination to one of the U.S. Service Academies, you should attend U.S. Service Academy Night, hosted by Congressman Adam Smith.  The event will host Field Representatives from the Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Coast Guard Academy.  Unfortunately, we do not have anyone from the Air Force in attendance.

The event will be held at Foster High School in Tukwila, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 6:30pm to 8pm (4242 S. 144th St., Tukwila, WA 98168). For more information or to RSVP, please contact Amina Mohamed at (425) 793-5180 or Amina.Mohamed@mail.house.gov

Congressman Adam Smith Hosts 9th District Day

You are invited to attend my annual “Ninth District Day” conference in Washington, D.C. on May 8th, 2014. PLEASE RSVP HERE

Ninth District Day is a forum that brings together Washington state constituents, as well as policy, media, and other leaders in Washington D.C.  In recent years, speakers have included Washington Senators Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, and John McCain, CNN Terrorism Expert Peter Bergen, Meet the Press moderator David Gregory, ABC News Anchor George Stephanopoulos, then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, then-House Minority Leader Roy Blunt, NBC News Political Director Chuck Todd, and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Commander Admiral T. Eric Olson.

This year I would like to again present a wide array of bipartisan speakers from the government, business, and media communities. We are reaching out to speakers now and will update this page when we confirm.

The objective will be to talk to constituents on issues ranging from technology and foreign policy to the domestic priorities and this year’s congressional agenda. This variety of topics and speakers will provide my constituents with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of how our government works. Please join me for this exciting and informative event!
