Procurement Workshop

You are invited to join other interested small business owners for a morning event to learn about government contracting opportunities and to learn about various resources that are available to small businesses.

Topics/Panels include:

-Government Contracting Essentials
-Panel of Government agencies facilitated by the Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). 
A light breakfast will be provided.

From Seattle:

Take I-90 eastbound to Exit 11A, follow signs to 156th Ave SE, ramp will merge onto S 150th St heading north, proceed through the first stoplight (SE Eastgate Way), merge into the left lane, at the second stoplight (SE 28th St), turn left into Bellevue College’s main entrance.

From Issaquah:

Take I-90 westbound to Exit 11, follow the signs for 156th Ave SE, at the stoplight, turn left onto Eastgate Way, move into the right lane, and turn right at 150th Ave SE, at the stoplight (SE 28th St) turn left into Bellevue College’s main entrance.  

There are many bus routes that stop near Bellevue College, including Metro and Sound Transit Bus Routes 212, 216, 217, 221, 226, 240, 241, 245, 246, 271, 554, 555, 556, 888 or 989 at the Eastgate Park & Ride. From Tacoma, take the 594 to downtown Seattle and transfer with routes 212, 216, 217 or 554 to Eastgate Park & Ride. You are invited to join other interested small business owners for a morning event to learn about the various resources that are available through the U.S. Small Business Administration, Seattle District Office.

Following a morning session with an introduction and overview, attendees will break out into smaller groups to learn how to take advantage of social media opportunities, how to access capital for your business and how to keep customers in your pipeline.

-Social Media 101

-How To Get Money For Your Small Business

-How To Keep Customers In Your Pipeline

Congressman Smith to Host Telephone Town Hall

Ninth District Congressman Adam Smith will host a Tele-Town Hall on Thursday, April 7, 2016.

Congressman Smith will be hosting this live event to speak with constituents about local, national and international issues of importance. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and ensure that your voice is heard. As your representative, listening to you is Congressman Smith’s most important job. This call is an opportunity to help the Congressman understand your views and better serve you.
