My office would be happy to help you in securing any of the following: a congratulatory greeting from the President for a birthday (for persons 80 years of age or over) or a wedding anniversary (50 years of marriage or more). Presidential Greetings are also available upon achievement of the Eagle Scout or the Girl Scout Gold Award.

Please provide at least three weeks advance notice. Send requests to my Renton, WA office.

In 2021, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) advanced a surface transportation authorization bill called the INVEST in America Act. As part of this legislation, the T&I Committee accepted requests from House Members for projects to be funded in their districts.

The T&I Committee process for considering member projects was separate and distinct from the House Committee on Appropriations’ process for considering Community Project Funding requests.

So, you are a victim of identity theft. Here’s what to do:

If you are or think you are a victim of identity theft, the task of correcting misused information can seem daunting. But the Office of Congressman Adam Smith has prepared a list of steps for you to take so that you can get started and undo the damage as quickly as possible. Read the following information thoroughly and follow each step.

In response to constituent requests for mortgage assistance, Congress approved funding for HUD approved counselors to provide you with the information and assistance you need to avoid foreclosure. As part of the President Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan (HASP), you may also be eligible for the Making Home Affordable Program, a loan modification and refinancing program to help you reduce your monthly payments and keep your home.

FEDERAL JOB POSTINGS

Constituents often contact my office inquiring about job opportunities within the federal government. Below are some resources that should help anyone interested in finding employment with the federal government.

Congress should do everything possible to ensure that the brave men and women who serve our country in uniform come home to the care and support they deserve.

As Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, I have consistently worked to ensure that our Veterans receive the benefits and treatment they deserve for their years of faithful service. These benefits are critical for veterans, retirees, and their dependents, as well as those who are considering a career in the military.

Internship Opportunities

An internship in my office provides a great opportunity for students to learn first-hand how our government works. Interns gain valuable knowledge and experience by having hands-on opportunity to learn about the legislative process, as well as the operations of a Congressional office.

As a Member of Congress, my staff and I may assist you with your search for funding from the federal government. This webpage will provide you with information regarding federal grants and other financial opportunities. The links on this webpage offer helpful information that will enable you with information and will guide you on writing grant proposals.

Please reach out to our Grants Coordinator, Triniti Gorbunova, for information about current funding opportunities.
