Rep. Smith Statement on Iran Attack on Israel

I strongly condemn Iran’s ballistic missile attacks against Israel. It's imperative that Iran halts these actions immediately. The U.S. remains committed to Israel's security and will continue to assist them in their defense. Iran has continued to be a destabilizing influence in the Middle East, supporting terrorist organizations in a half dozen countries. We must continue to stand up against Iran's malign influence in the region and support Israel in its efforts to defend against its attacks. The U.S. also remains committed to working with all partners in the region to try to reduce hostilities and ultimately get to a ceasefire.
